Practice Pavestones is delighted to be welcoming Tanya Cooper to the training team in 2022. She will be delivering Pavestones’ Online MI Workshops in May, August and beyond.
Tanya is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and has been a Member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers) since 2015.
Tanya has been working in the field of helping people connect with their strengths as they work towards health and wellbeing for over 20 years. With a background in clinical psychology, Tanya has worked in community health, specialist drug and alcohol agencies, hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, private practice, and tertiary level academia. Her experience includes management and supervisory roles across multi-disciplinary teams.
Currently, Tanya works in a private psychology practice and teaches at LaTrobe University part-time where she specialises in teaching Nutrition Counselling which has a strong focus on Motivational Interviewing with Masters of Dietetics Students. Tanya’s clinical specialisation areas include helping people work towards healing their relationship with food and body kindness. She is a strong advocate of the Health at Every Size® approach.
Tanya loves her work both in the therapy room and the classroom and this enthusiasm is infectious. With a relaxed, authentic approach, Tanya brings a sense of curiosity, support, and gentle humour to the challenges of being human as we cultivate how to be our best version of a ‘helper.’ Tanya’s teaching style is the embodiment of MI Spirit and Practice Pavestones is extremely proud to have her join the team as an esteemed training consultant.
